Hi, it’s me.
I was sitting with my coffee earlier, doing that thing where you’re technically resting but your brain is still running a dozen tabs in the background. Very early in the day.
You know the feeling.
And I noticed something small but important:
Nothing was actually wrong in that moment.
But my mind was acting like something needed to be fixed.
That’s when it hit me—how often we live slightly ahead of ourselves.
Worrying about things that haven’t arrived yet.
Preparing for outcomes we haven’t been invited into.
Bracing, just in case.
Our brains are really good at this.
They think they’re helping.
They’re constantly scanning for what could go wrong because somewhere along the way, that became the job.
But peace doesn’t live in preparation.
It lives in presence.
And presence is usually quiet.
Unimpressive.
Almost easy to miss.
So today, I didn’t try to optimize my mood or shift my mindset.
I just noticed the glimmer:
Warm coffee.
Morning light.
The fact that I’m here, breathing, and allowed to take my time.
That was enough.
Maybe it’s enough today for you too.
